About Orang-Otang Tree Trimmers

How we started

Director of Orang-Otang Tree Trimmers, Regan Davies, moved up to Mangawhai in his late teens after spending numerous summer holidays in Mangawhai with his family and friends.

Regan spent his youth working hard doing lawn mowing rounds, and providing garden supplies, his passion has always been with the tree industry.

In 2001 Regan ventured out and bought his first chipper and ute and created “Regan’s Tree Work” where he looked after Mangawhai locals and smaller out of town work. In 2008 he bought Orang-Otang Tree Trimmers from Warkworth and merged the two companies. This gave Regan the opportunity to branch out and expand his business and cater for a wider field of the tree work industry.

Regan’s passion for trees and his determination has helped him grow and manage his business into a successful company with a renowned reputation for highly skilled workmanship and excellent customer service.
